The 20 Year-Old Teenager

The 20-Year-Old Teenager project is deeply personal and significant. It's a stage in your early 20s where, half the time, you are seen as an adult, and the other half, you are still perceived as a teenager. It sometimes feels like being in limbo.

My project is less about detailing the experiences that come with being a 20-year-old teenager and more about capturing people in this age group. I see this project as a time capsule—preserving these precious years.

The young women I photographed in the early stages of the project are not just subjects; they are my true friends. Knowing them personally made photographing them feel natural. This personal connection adds depth to the project, and I hope you can feel it when you view the photographs.
